The grapes for this wine come from our oldest vineyards located in Pozaldez. The poor and stony, gravelly soil gives the typical character of the Verdejo wines of Rueda. The vineyard has a low yield of 5000 kg. per hectare. The climate is continental with very cold winters with frost and occasional snowfall; spring and autumn with mild temperatures and frequent rainfall; and very warm and dry summers with a large difference in day and night temperatures. This results in an ideal climate for the ripening of our grapes. The harvest takes place in mid-September, when the grapes have reached their ideal ripening stage. We pick the grapes manually in 20-kilogram cages, unloaded directly at the reception of our vineyard.
TASTING NOTES – Visually Straw yellow with greenish reflections, clean and shiny. Aromas Complex nose, notes of peach and pear. Aromas of thyme, mint, vanilla and cinnamon with clear hints of aromas typical of this variety; white flowers, anise and nuts. Mouth The wine is oily, broad and unusually structured. Elegant sensations of yellow apple, tropical fruit, roasted almonds. Minerals and a long spicy finish.
