Artadi El Carretil is a red wine made from Tempranillo grapes from an old vineyard of 5.6 hectares, consisting of 3 plots planted at different times (80 years, 50 years and 40 years ago). It is located in the municipality of Laguardia, at an altitude of 500 m above sea level, on poor soils with a calcareous-clay composition with a large proportion of active limestone.

The grapes are hand-picked and placed in 15-kilogram crates, and the selection takes place in the vineyard itself. In the cellar, they are cold macerated for 24-48 hours and then fermented with indigenous yeast in open wooden vats for 10-12 days with daily chopping and little pumping. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, in which the grapes mature for 9 months.
